Recently, Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers offered the final piece of information that I required to fully open my wings. He studied the stories of success and discovered the 10,000-hour rule. To achieve the level of mastery associated with being a world-class expert- in anything- one must put in 10,000 hours of dedicated training. After reading that I raised my arms in relief and yelled “I did it!” I began to calculate when I reached the hours in painting and while I continued to paint I achieved my hours in photography as well. The point that I missed for years was this… Once you put in your hours you no longer need to practice. The flood gates opened.
 When asked why Wedding Paintings? My response is, “Love is the purest and most powerful emotion we have, and there isn’t enough of it in the world. I know that if I love what I do and paint what I love and extend it out in the world for others to see I’m doing my part. Spreading Love. Painting has been as much of a part of my life as photography, actually more so. Combining the two is a perfect fit.” it doesn't end there... As environmental issues build in my awareness I cannot continue to do my job as I use to. I have a memories of developing my own photographs at school and hearing words like carcinogens used to describe the photo chemicals I was soaking my hands in. I was too young and excited to comprehend how my passion was affecting my body and this planet. I have been a Wedding Photographer in Vancouver for 10 years and have been called one of the best… and you know what? I can do it better! I've trimmed the fat to ensure I consume and pollute less while delivering a tangibly superior product. Quality & originality in a fast food world of more, more, more is bold & refreshing. The times are changing... again...and I'm comfortable changing with it. In lieu of proof albums and non-recyclable prints we are offering print packages in various sizes for your consideration. All orders are printed on Tree-Free natural white sugar cane paper which is an eco-friendly resource and energy. The paper is also certified archival grade and acid free. In addition 100 trees will be donated and planted in Canada on behalf of REINEweddings and each individual wedding client. Reine means queen and pure and I'm here to live up to it.  The Process: I work with a team of hand picked brilliant artists who deliver perfection in their given craft. The paintings are created from photographs that I have taken and the image selection is chosen by the client or left up to creative chance. The canvases themselves are 36X48 inches and created by hand with organic cotton and rice paper. The paint layer is a combination of acrylic and oil paint and on occasion include ‘recycled artifacts’ from the wedding.
